About Me

Giorgio Bruno was born in Murano in 1965 where he still lives and works.

He started to work the glass when he was very young, watching at the old masters working at torch in his father’s shop. At 14 years old he began to work in the hot glass shop testing different techniques and became “maestrino” (young master) in glass blowing and chandeliers.

After years, aware and more sure about all the working experiences he has had in glass he decided to start his own busyness opening a studio in Murano. Giorgio Bruno has a peculiar and rare talent using various glass working techniques, the furnace-work, glass blowpipe and modeling figures, animals and all kind things, developing an unique mixed technique.

He has been cooperating in a big project with the artist and designer Philiphe Starck.

He is teacher at Abate Zanetti glass school in Murano.
